![]() Daniel Danisch was tonight presented with the Grey Wolf Award, the highest award a Cub Scout can earn. Family, friends, Cub Scouts and special guests were witness to the ceremony at the Dimboola Scout Hall, where leader Michelle Danisch presented Daniel with his badge, certificate and pin badge. To earn the Grey Wolf Award, a Cub Scout must achieve the Gold Boomerang, have completed four Level 2 Achievement Badges, and have completed a Special Interest Badge. They also must have been an active member of the Leadership Team by attending Pack Councils, and have planned, organised and carried out a two-hour bushwalk with other Cub Scout members. The Cub Scout must also have an understanding of the importance of the Jungle Books theme and present a resource of their own design to the Pack. The biggest youth organisation in the world, Scouting provides a variety of activities for members of all ages and interests. The Dimboola pack is involved in a variety of activities such as the Getn Wet Carnival, Billy Cart Derby, Adventure day trips, district camps, and much more. The local pack currently has room for new members; both boys and girls between the ages of seven and 10-and-a-half are welcome to come and try Cub Scouts for three weeks obligation free. To find out more, please contact Michelle Danisch on 5389 1808. Source of this article :: Bronwyn Hastings |
