![]() The Austin 7 Car Club recently visited the Murtoa Stick Shed during an open day. The Murtoa Stick Shed will be open again on the Saturday and Sunday, during the three days of Murtoa's Big Weekend on October 5, 6 and 7. The stick shed has undergone extensive repairs carried out by Heritage Victoria. A unique building; it is one of Victoria's up and coming tourist attractions. One of the organisers for the event, Leigh Hammerton said "We are holding a special Saturday evening with a live music event this year. It will feature Mick Thomas, Sal Kimber and other local support groups." "We also welcome back the huge Dunmunkle Sumpoilers two day rally again this year, featuring many different displays and associated items." Leigh said "It's worth travelling just to see their three massive 20 tonne engines running - once seen, never forgotten" David said the 128th Murtoa Show will take place on Friday; there'll be a three-day art exhibition, a photographic competition and display, a monster street market with parade, Murtoa Cup Day races on Saturday, a Ecumenical Church Service, Town Crier David Bond and they have also engaged some Crazy Cops on monocycles to amuse everyone. He added "Our wonderful Water Tower Museum will be open two days on the weekend, where visitors can view one of the most unique taxidery collections in Australia.
