GWM calling for nominations for Community Consultation Committee
GWMWater is embarking on an intense period of customer and stakeholder engagement that will help influence and shape the future of the corporation.

GWM Water is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from customers to join a Deliberative Panel to provide opinion, advice and recommendations on pricing proposals and matters of significance for their 2018-2023 Water Price Review Submission to the Essential Services Commission.

Managing Director Mark Williams said that the panel will act to represent their customers to the board.

“The Deliberative Panel will act as an independent panel representing our broader customer base and will report to the Board of GWMWater.

“The Panel’s purpose is to help inform us of community preferences regarding service provision and future pricing”.

The corporation is inviting applications from community members, landholders, business owners and other interested persons to participate in the Deliberative Panel.

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to meet with fourteen other motivated individuals from all walks of life, who live and work in the Wimmera Mallee.

“The Panel will be a significant voice and fulfil an important role in driving our Water Price Review consultation and engagement program. It’s community participation at its best!” Mr Williams said.

If you’d like to express your interest in joining the Panel, you can go to GWM’s website www.gwmwater.org.au/news to fill in an EOI form.

Hindmarsh Shire Council adopted the Dimboola Community Precinct Plans in September 2016 and is now inviting community feedback on a proposed amendment.
