Planned burn south of Nhill
The Autumn Fuel Reduction Burn program is continuing, with authorities planning a burn south of Nhill from Wednesday this week.

Forest Fire Management and Parks Victoria are conducting these burns to reduce the risk of bushfire to people, property and communities.

The burn will take place 14km south of the town, along the northern break of the Eastern Block of the Little Desert National Park.

It is expected to be ignited tomorrow, Wednesday 12th April, and be completed by Friday.

Authorities advise that smoke may be visible in and around the Park, as well as in the vicinity of Kiata South and Winiam Eat Roads.

The burn will only go ahead if weather conditions permit.

More information about planned burns can be found on the Forest Fire Management Victoria website at www.ffm.vic.gov.au/bushfire-fuel-and-risk-management/planned-burns.
