The inaugural Rainbow Desert Enduro has been declared a huge success by organisers and competitors despite inclement weather that made the race more challenging for the drivers but more spectacular for the onlookers.

The winning driver and navigator combination of Greg Gartner and Jamie Jennings completed the race in just over five hours and 23 minutes.

This event was the third and final leg of the 2017 CAMS BFGoodrich Australian Off Road Championship and Matthew Martin's fourth placing on the weekend was enough for him to claim the title.
