DMSC students Rebekah Albrecht and Teo Haines travelled to Melbourne to participate in the annual Goethe Poetry Competition, which was held this year at the University of Melbourne.

Rebekah and Teo competed against twenty other Year 10 students from across the state.

DMSC German teacher Mrs Sally Klinge said that it was exciting when Teo was announced at the winner of the Year 10 section.

"It was a great thrill when Teo was announced as the winner of the Year 10 section, and after receiving his certificate and prize, he had to recite his poem about a Karousell (merry-go-round) to all of the Year 10, 11 and 12 students who were present."

Congratulations to Rebekah and Teo on the accurate and meaningful way in which they recited their poems - sehr gut gemacht!
