The veranda of Kayls Hair Place in Lloyd Street has been upgraded thanks to a Small Business Assistance Grant through Hindmarsh Shire Council's 2016/17 program.

"I would like to thank the Hindmarsh Shire Council for giving me the opportunity to apply for the Small Business Assistance Grants Program 2016/17," Kaylene said.

"Fortunately, I was successful in my application and received a monetary contribution to upgrade the veranda of Kayls Hair Place at 87 Lloyd Street, Dimboola."

Her application was in the "Streetscape' category. The rusted roof and damaged framework of the veranda meant that the repairs are not only aesthetic, they also ensure the safety of those walking along the footpath.

Kaylene also wishes to thank the local tradespeople who completed the work for a "job well done" - MTB Carpentry from Pimpinio and BMP of Dimboola.

"The local feedback has been very positive."
