A crowd of around twenty people gathered this morning at the Dimboola RSL rooms to commemorate Remembrance Day.

President of the Dimboola Sub Branch of the RSL, Ivan Jones, spoke about the significance of Remembrance Day and highlighted that this year marks ninety-nine years since the end of World War I.

The Last Post was a recording made by Harry John before he passed away earlier this year. While speaking at the Anzac Day service this year, Harry noted that he had been sounding the last post wherever he was at the appropriate time since 1938.

Today marks ninety-nine years since the armistice which brought to an end four years of fighting in World War I.
