Dimboola Cricket | False start to the second half of the season
Dimboola-Blackheath gained their first points for the season in the Horsham Cricket Association A grade competition courtesy of their game against Horsham Saints being abandoned.

All games in both the A and B grades were called off due to rain with all teams receiving three points. All C grade teams had a bye.

Despite these points, Dimboola-Blackheath remain on the bottom of both the one day and overall ladders.

With a single one day game remining the locals are out of the running for a place in the finals of that competition, and although there are four games left in the overall A grade competition, it would take a dramatic change in form for Dimboola-Blackheath to challenge for the top four.

Next week the Jung Tigers will visit The Park to take on the locals in the last one day game for the season. This is an ideal opportunity to earn some points on the field as this opponent is also outside of the top four and only just ahead on the ladder.

Following this will be three two day encounters, with fourth placed Laharum, second placed Rupanyup-Minyip and at the start of March another game against the Tigers. All of these games will be played on the Dimboola ground.
