Planned burn in the Little Desert
Forest Fire Management Victoria and the Country Fire Authority advise that, weather permitting, a planned burn will be carried out this afternoon, Thursday 29 March, in the Central Block Southern Break of the Little Desert National Park.

Pending weather and fuel conditions this burn should be completed between 12 midday and 8.00 pm on Thursday 29 March 2018.

The aim of this burn is to develop fuel reduced areas of sufficient width and continuity to reduce the speed and intensity of bushfires.

Smoke may be visible from nearby localities and communities.

Be aware of when and where planned burns are happening in your local area and stay clear of areas where burns are taking place or areas that have recently been burnt.

Access to walking tracks, car parks, camping grounds and picnic sites in areas close to or in the burn areas may be restricted.
