After trek of over 4,000 kilometres covering four states and 10 days, the participants in the No Boundaries Charity Safari will spend their last night on the road at Dimboola enjoying an open mic stand-up comedy evening which locals are encouraged to support.

In its ninth year, the No Boundaries Charity Safari will involve a group of about 15 particpants in 10 cars that will be on the road for ten days visiting destinations in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland.

Locations visted will include Dargo, Mount Hotham, the Opel fields of White Cliffs, Cameron's Corner, Flinders Ranges, Hattah and Dimboola.

A different charity is supported each year, with those involved getting to choose something close to their heart and this year it will be the local police Blue Light charity which funds small local youth projects that will benefit.

This safari is a great opportunity for the group to get together and see countryside that they would never normally get to see whilst camping out most nights in swags and some nights at caravan parks for some more civilised accommodation.

Each member contributes $100 toward the chosen charity, but the main charity contribution is from the one off charity event.

For this the group take over a country pub and organise a big charity night, which in the past has included charity auctions, speed dating and live music.

This year will be something very different with Melbourne comedy artist Andy Chambers getting together seven of his peers who will all be donating their time to perform at an open mic stand-up comedy night at the Victoria Hotel in Dimboola. This event will be held on Saturday 2 June, the last night of the safari, and will also feature a solo artist for live music.

Two of the featured comics will be brother and sister act, Peter and Anna Murphy.

The duo grew up in Melbourne's outer suburbs and they have always been very competitive and even after 40 years this continues, having performed over 300 gigs between them and multiple sold out Melbourne International Comedy festival shows, this brother and sister comedian family show no sign of slowing down. Performing around 4 or 5 nights a week, Peter and Anna are as funny as they are humble.

They work hard on their comedy and play big parts in the underground comedy scene in Melbourne helping up and coming comics strut their stuff, sharing their comedy knowledge on stage and off.

"Rural gigs are where it's at" says Peter, "the crowds are better and they are ready to laugh".

Others to feature at this event include Jarryd Goundrey, Adam Ashton, Billy Stiles, Kim Da Cruz and Gavin Sempel.
