The Watoto Children's Choir will bring a taste of Africa to Nhill on Wednesday 1st August. The choir, a group of 18 vulnerable children from Uganda, will perform at the Nhill Community Centre from 7 pm.

The concert will feature songs, dances and stories from the children telling of the hope they have because of God's love.

Since 1994 Watoto Children's Choirs have travelled the world performing before presidents, royalty and national parliaments, sharing the plight of Africa's orphaned children. Each child in the choir has suffered the loss of one or both of their parents. They live in a Watoto village or a neighbouring community where they are supported by Watoto's Neighbourhood Project offering support and education.

To date Watoto has provided holistic residential care for over 4,000 orphans, some of which have gone on to become lawyers, teachers, farmers and doctors , and are impacting society positively as a result.

The 2018 Watoto Choir is on tour in Australia for six months, and has been captivating audiences with the children's talent, energy and joy.

Admission to the concert in Nhill is free but opportunity will be given during the evening to donate towards the work of Watoto .
