An exciting new era in the provision of Early Years Services in Hindmarsh Shire will begin in 2019 with Horsham and District Kindergarten Association set to commence the delivery of both kindergarten and childcare programs in Dimboola and Nhill and kindergarten in Jeparit and Rainbow.

Horsham and District Kindergarten Association (HDKA) will take over services currently delivered by Uniting, who have been responsible for early years' education in Hindmarsh Shire for almost 20 years.

Hindmarsh Shire Mayor Cr Ron Ismay, when announcing the change of service provider, took the opportunity to thank Uniting for their dedicated service over this time. "Uniting has for a long time been responsible for the education of our youngest residents and I want to take this opportunity to thank them for their commitment to delivering quality services to the benefit of children and their families throughout our Shire."

In announcing Hindmarsh Shire's new service provider Cr Ismay continued "I am also pleased to welcome Horsham and District Kindergarten Association to Hindmarsh Shire. HDKA has for many years provided quality kindergarten services in Horsham and now more recently has expanded services into Stawell and we welcome the opportunity to work with them in delivering an early years' education experience second to none."

HDKA will work closely with Council and Uniting to ensure a smooth transition between service providers in preparation for 2019.

Families are invited to attend information sessions in the coming weeks to learn more about what this change means for them and how to enrol in services for 2019.

These session will be held in Nhill on 28 August 2018, Dimboola on 29 August 2018, Jeparit on 3 September 2018 and Rainbow on 5 September 2018.
