The Dimboola 17 and Under netball team was the sole local team to make it to the Wimmera netball and football grand finals at Warracknabeal on Saturday, and although they did not bring home the title, they represented their club and community with distinction.

In a game that had multiple lead changes in the closing stages, the Dimboola team fought back from behind on a couple of occasions to remain in the game, but in the end the clock beat them.

They were not disgraced by the final 46-49 score line to the Horsham Demons, the only team to have beaten them during the regular season.

Horsham finished the day with six netball premierships from seven games, falling one goal short in the A Grade grand final to the Horsham Saints.
