Anglers in the Wimmera won’t run out of fish to catch anytime soon, after the Victorian Fisheries Authority released 100,000 fish into the Wimmera River on Wednesday.

These 100,000 golden perch fingerlings were released between Jeparit and upstream of Horsham – 40,000 of these were placed in and around Dimboola.

This work was carried out by Fisheries Officers in Horsham and was in conjunction with the freshwater stocking team from the Snobs Creek Hatchery, near Eildon.
