Event to recognise young people’s contributions
The Hindmarsh Shire Youth Council is aiming to recognise the achievements of young people from across the shire at their inaugural ‘Hindmarsh Youth Making a Difference’ awards night in April.

This ‘red carpet’ event will be held at the Nhill Memorial Community Centre on Friday 5th April.

The aim of the awards night is to recognise and celebrate the diverse range of young people between 12 and 25 years of age across the district who volunteer in and contribute significantly to their local communities.

Prizes are on offer, even for those people who nominate others.

There are seven awards categories open for nominations:
  • Youth Volunteer Award (Individual)
  • Youth Community Award (Group)
  • Youth Artist Award (Individual)
  • Youth Artist Award (Group)
  • Youth Environmental Award (Individual or Group)
  • Business Employee Award (Individual)
  • Young Sportsperson Award (Individual)
Nominations close at 5pm on Tuesday 26th March. Forms are available from Council Customer Service Centres or at the Hindmarsh Shire Council website.
