Bowls | First Division have great win over Horsham Golf
Mixed results on Saturday saw the Division One team have a good win over Horsham Golf but Division Two had a narrow loss to Natimuk.

Division One recorded a great 12 shot win on their home green against the strong Horsham Golf side; 78 shots to 66 shots.

The team of Peter O’Loughlin, Judith Albrecht, Ron Gauke and Merv Roberts had a good win winning by 10 shots 26 to 16, Alan Krahe, Wayne Albrecht, Robbie Clark, and Josh Cook also had a good win winning by 7 shots, 31 to 24, and the team of Geoff Gazelle, Greg Cook, John Moar, and Darryl Argall went down by 5 shots 21 to 26 in a close tussle.

Next Saturday first division will host Horsham City on the local greens.

Division Two was unlucky at Natimuk, going down by only 5 shots 68 to 73.

Peter Ross, Trevor Werner, Bill Ballard, and Shannon Williams had an exciting 1 shot victory winning 24 to 23, Bryan Beattie, Ric Danisch, Bob Gooding and Ian Barry also had an exciting game but this time they went down by just one shot 22-23.

In a game that either side could have won, Cliff Unger, Frank Neagle, Ian McRae, and Bill Eldridge went down by just 5 shots, 22-27, with the last end being decisive.

Division two will also be playing at home and all players are to provide afternoon tea.

After the game on Saturday there will be a BBQ and it would be great to see all members attend. Please let Darryl Argall or Lois Gaulke know if you are attending for catering purposes.
