Nhill Golf Club will host the Victorian vs South Australian Country representative team challenge over the weekend of Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th November 2019.

The best 10 players from country Victoria and South Australia are chosen to represent their state. For the first time, it is wonderful to see the best 2 female country players included from each state as part of the 10-person team. The inaugural lady team members for Victoria are Casey Wild from Wodonga Golf Club and Steffi Vogel from Cobram Barooga Golf Club. South Australian lady representatives are Deb Christie from Lameroo Golf Club and Jess Reynolds from Willunga Golf Club.

Saturday morning the players will play foursomes match play while in the afternoon the competition is 4BBB match play. On Sunday individual match play will decide the winner of the shield, currently held by Victoria 8.5 / 7.5 after losing to South Australia for the previous two years.

The Wimmera is represented in the Victorian side by Adam Tribe from Halls Gap Golf Club. Clint Foster from Portland Golf Club takes over the reins of team manager from John Snowden following 38 years in the position. Shane Grover, Nhill Golf Club captain and course superintendent is the assistant manager.

The event which has been played since 1989, provides a high standard contest for the leading country players from both states.

Everyone is encouraged to come along and witness some high-quality golf at the beautiful Nhill Golf Course. Tee off times are 8am both days.
