Cricket | Blackheath-Dimboola
The Blackheath-Dimboola Bulls finished 2019 with a loss to Colts in Round nine of the Horsham Cricket Association’s season.

Colts took the opportunity to bat first when they won the toss and put on 175 runs for the loss of 4 wickets off their 40 overs, with Harry Young the best of the Bulls’ bowlers with 2 for 22 off 8 overs. Chris Ross and Brent Tough shared the other two wickets.

Opening the batting, Young topped off a solid personal game with an innings high score of 48 and along with 34 from Robert Somers kept the Bulls in the game, and although they nearly batted out their allotted overs, they finished a credible 36 runs short with 139.

Other double-figure scores included 11 from both Chris Ross and Mark Polycarpou.

The competition now goes into its mid-season break and the Bulls will next take to the field on January 18 in a doubleheader round of Twenty20 games which will see them take on Noradjuha Toolondo Bullants at 10.00 am on the Horsham City Oval, and then meet Colts on Dudley Cornell Park at 1.15 pm.
