Travellers along the Western Highway near Wail and Lawloit may have noticed a small change on the side of the road earlier this week with Hindmarsh Shire installing new signage.

The new ‘Welcome to Hindmarsh’ signs replace the tall, thin signs that formerly greeted visitors to the shire.

This is part of the gradual roll-out of Council’s new brand, including the revamped logo that was unveiled in late 2018.

A Council spokesperson said earlier this week that these signs replace the older fading signs and are in line with updated roadside signage guidelines from VicRoads.

The municipal entry signs that have been installed this week will soon be followed by the staged rollout of town entry signs.
