The Dimboola Town Committee is asking residents to help control khaki weed that is spreading around town after recent rains.

The Town Committee is asking people to pull out the weed if they see it in the Recreation Reserve, along the River, on the Common or anywhere else around town.

Khaki weed has nasty prickles (so be careful!) and it would be great to control it – before it flowers and spreads further.

Agriculture Victoria says that khaki weed occasionally establishes in native pastures where it out-competes other native species, its presence having a major impact on ground flora.
