Local CFA honours fallen Police
The siren at the Dimboola fire station sounded four times yesterday evening at 5.40 pm as a mark of respect to the four police officers who lost their lives following a collision in Melbourne exactly a week earlier.

Dimboola was one of a number of Country Fire Authority brigades across the state to make this gesture towards a fellow emergency service.

The four police officers were involved in an incident with a speeding driver on the Eastern Freeway at Kew in Melbourne’s east on the evening of 22 April before a multi-vehicle collision involving a truck resulted in the four deaths.
