Following announcements made by the state government earlier this week, schools are preparing for the staged return to face-to-face teaching.

The key points regarding this staged return are:
  • Monday 25th May will be a pupil free day

  • Stage 1 – Tuesday 26th May - Prep, Grade 1, Grade 2 and Year 11 and 12 VCE and VCAL return

    • Year 10 students undertaking VCE studies, including VCE VET studies, should also attend school for those classes where practicable. If this is not possible for your child/children, our teachers will make sure the work provided to students attending at school is also provided to your child/children.

  • Stage 2 – Tuesday 9th June - all other year levels will return to school.
Schools will not be able to continue supporting students to learn from home once their year level has returned to face-to-face teaching. If your child is sick, contact your school and arrangements can be made.

If your child is ill or is feeling unwell, they must not attend school. They must remain home and seek medical advice. While the Chief Health Officer has advised that students will not be required to maintain physical distancing at school, there will be a number of important changes to school operations, consistent with health advice, including continuing an enhanced cleaning routine and encouraging frequent hand washing.

When dropping students off at schools, parents must remain in their cars. Restrictions will also be in place on access to school sites for anyone other than immediate school staff and students.
