The Peter Taylor Memorial Ski Jump event is a finalist in the Social Well-Being category despite the event been postponed owing to the COVID-19 lockdown. The judges considered the success of the previous event and the anticipated growth for the second event when making their decision.

Our Young Legend nominee Teyha Clarke has made it as a finalist.

Dimboola is also in a finalist for the Tidiest Town award that Dimboola won in 2018.

Dimboola Tidy Town co-ordinator Chris Johnson said that he was pleased with the ten finalists for Dimboola.

“We had some very good entries this year and despite the challenges to get the entries in during lockdown”, he said.

“With the use of technology, we were able to produce videos for the entries and meet the judges via virtual meeting software.”

Beechworth won the 2019 Tidy Town and is this year’s host. The Awards will be presented at the award dinner in Beechworth on September 3 pending the government restrictions otherwise the awards will be a virtual event online.
