The Blackheath-Dimboola Bulls suffered their first loss for the season on Saturday when they took on Homers on the Park at Dimboola.
Homers posted the competitive score of 9 for 118 from their 40 overs, courtesy of contributions all down the batting order with half of their batsmen passing ten and one hitting 23.
The best of the Bulls’ bowlers was Robert Somers with three wickets, followed by Sam Polack took two. In his first game for the club, Justin Knorpp opened the bowling and took one wicket, and the other two wickets were taken by Brodie Cramer and Archer Laverty.
The Blackheath-Dimboola innings was dominated by Cramer who made the equal game-high score of 23, but with only one other batsman making double figures, Sam Polack with 15, the innings fell away quickly and ended with the total on 63, still 55 short of the target.
Despite the loss, the Bulls remain comfortably in second place on the B grade ladder, leading a group of three teams with three wins from four rounds.
Round five will see the team enjoy another home game when visited by Rupanyup-Minyip who are yet to win a game this season.
