A Total Fire Ban has been declared in the Mallee, Wimmera, Northern Country, North Central, North East and East Gippsland districts for tomorrow, Monday 25 January 2021.

The fire danger is forecast to be Severe in all these districts, except for East Gippsland where it will be Very High, and the southern part of the state will also experience Very High fire danger.

This means that no fire can be lit in the open air or allowed to remain alight from 12.01 am to 11.59 pm on the day of the ban, and strict rules also apply to the operation of farm machinery, chainsaws and lawnmowers.
