Community sport in the Wimmera took a tentative step yesterday towards returning after the recent lockdown, with the Wimmera Football Netball League leading the way with the eighth round of their season after two weeks off.

The Horsham District Football Netball League and the Wimmera Hockey Association will recommence their seasons next weekend.

Dimboola had a mixed day on the football field, with the Seniors and Reserves going down to Minyip-Murtoa, but both the Under 17 and Under 14 teams registered wins.

In the netball, the Roos’ A grade, B grade, 17 & Under, and 14 & Under teams scored wins.
