Dimboola will host the grand finals in two of the Wimmera’s peak sporting competitions this September.
The Wimmera Football Netball League board announced earlier this week that the Dimboola Recreation Reserve will host their grand finals for the second consecutive year on Saturday, 21 September, which will be a week after the Wimmera hockey premierships are decided at the Dimboola Health and Fitness Centre.
Other venues to host the Wimmera FNL finals include Nhill, Stawell, Warracknabeal, Coughlin Park in Horsham and Murtoa.
Having already announced that the Horsham club would host the Wimmera Hockey Association grand finals at Dimboola, they also confirmed the venues for their other rounds of finals this week - the semi-finals will be played at Warracknabeal, and the preliminary finals will be at Kaniva.
Warracknabeal’s Anzac Park will highlight its versatility as a multi-sport venue, as the host of semi-finals for football, netball, and hockey.
The Horsham District Football Netball League announced its final venues in April. The grand finals will be played at North Park in Stawell, and the local venue, Pimpinio, will hold the Second Elimination Finals on Sunday, 25 August.
