Forget the fast cars, decorated cakes and posh houses - this is the raffle for your community organisation.

Leadership Wimmera is offering several hours of one to one assistance from regional leader Jo Bourke as the prize in its latest raffle - Your Questions Answered.

Ms Bourke, WDA Executive Director, will mentor the winners and provide plenty of tips on how to enjoy success in raising funds for community initiatives and programs.

Leadership Wimmera coordinator Sue Boddi said Ms Bourke had been involved in many regional projects and she has plenty of experience in seeking funding for the community.

"When buying tickets people need to nominate the community organisation they are representing and the prize goes to the group.

"It can be sporting, service groups, community or educational as long as it is a not for profit community-orientated organisation.

"We are hoping that not only will it benefit the group but also potentially provide a great regional benefit as well.

Ms Bourke said she was happy to help others in their quest for fund raising.

"I have been asked do a many things during my career but being a raffle prize is something new."

"I encourage people to not only enter their group but also consider sending someone to hear Jacqui Williams at the Big Ask fundraising event on May 1."

This event, being run by Leadership Wimmera Alumni will feature a practical workshop which will illustrate the difference between fundraising and philanthropy.

Mrs Boddi said Jacqui will give workshop participants the opportunity to share the particular needs of their community group as well.

Your Questions Answered Raffle tickets are being offered at the The Big Ask fundraising workshop on May 1.

If you cant make The Big Ask but want to buy a ticket, pick up tickets at WDA.
