Considerable rain in the three days leading up to round nine games in the Horsham Cricket Association on Saturday resulted in many games curtailed or abandoned, with the Blackheath-Dimboola C grade cricketers playing out a full game, but the B grade team had the weekend off.
B Grade
All but one of the B grade games were abandoned due to the damp conditions, with the clash between Blackheath-Dimboola and Horsham Saints one of those unable to go ahead.
The Bulls are currently in second place on the ladder and will come out of the mid-season break in January with their first game being a Twenty20 encounter with the fourth placed Quantong.

C Grade
All three C grade games were completed despite the weather, with the short format of the scheduled Twenty20 games allowing them to be played between the showers.
The Blackheath-Dimboola team hosted Colts who batted first and finished with 9 for 122 off their twenty overs.
Darren Sexton led the bowling with three wickets for only 13 runs off his four overs but he had great support from fellow opening bowler Brent Tough (2 for 20 off four overs) and Archie Watt (2 for 20 off three overs). Jade Clark and Malcolm Barry both took one wicket each.
Only one Colts’ batsman, Jay Couch, made a score above the teens with 38 after coming in at number six.
Greg O*Connor led the batting with 38, and Sexton contributed 25 without being dismissed. Other significant scores were Archie Watt with 10, Jade Clark, 9, and Col Campbell, 7.
After facing the last of their twenty overs, the score stood at 105 for the loss of five wickets, which continued their recent run of close results, but on this occasion they finished 17 runs behind but were not disgraced.
Their next outing will be on 12 January when they will take on Jung Tigers on the Dimboola Road oval in Horsham in another Twenty20 game which will be an ideal opportunity to reclaim a place in the top four with a win against the current last placed team.
