With less than 100 days to go, online ticket sales for the Nhill Air Show have opened.

The Nhill Aviation Heritage Centre will celebrate the centenary of aviation in Nhill with a spectacular Air Show on Saturday 2nd November.

The estimated crowd of 5,000 people will be treated to non-stop displays of aerobatics, sky diving, and vintage aircraft manoeuvres. A range of recreational and wartime aircraft will be flying in, and a DC3 will bring passengers from Melbourne for an overnight stay.

Vintage cars, military vehicles, a community market, fashion parade and food stalls, along with flight simulators, photographic displays, joy flights and children’s activities will all add to the festival atmosphere for this centenary celebration.

Nhill Air Show Convenor Mr Rob Lynch said that it’s exciting to have ticket sales now open.

“Having the ability to purchase tickets online is great, allowing people to avoid long queues at the gate on the day.

“Air Show tickets would make a great gift for a birthday, anniversary or even Father’s Day.”

The Air Show is being held over the Melbourne Cup long weekend, and organisers are encouraging people from the Wimmera and further afield to take advantage of the four-day weekend.

“We’re encouraging people to make the most of their time in the Wimmera and enjoy the abundance of activities on offer,” Mr Lynch said.

The Nhill Air Show has already secured Paul Bennet’s SkyAces formation team who will be performing jaw-dropping stunts throughout the day. Information about other aircraft will be made available in the coming weeks.

Tickets are $30 for adults, $10 for children aged between 5 – 17years, $20 for pension and student cardholders and a family ticket costs $70. Children under 5 years of age are free.
