The Dimboola Memorial Secondary College held their House Swimming Sports on Tuesday at the local pool.

The cool conditions did not lessen the competitive spirit between Hindmarsh and Wimmera with fierce rivalry shown in every event witnessed by a small crowd of parents, grandparents, and other members of the school community.

Catering was available in the form of a barbeque cooked by the VCAL students.

Alongside the traditional swimming races, a number of novelty events were conducted with the “Bombing Competition”, Classic Catches, basketball freethrow competition, and sponge race were all enthusiastically contested.

In concluding the day, Jake Hobbs and Principal Sally Klinge thanked all those who contributed to the success of the event, including the athletes, student and staff helpers, and spectators.
