Anzac Day services are going ahead in Dimboola, Jeparit, Rainbow and Nhill this Sunday.

After cancellations last year, Anzac Day services across the district are going ahead “as normal” this year, with COVID-Safe plans in place.

Dimboola

6am - Dawn Service at Dimboola Memorial Secondary College, followed by a BBQ breakfast.

8.30am – March from Dimboola Memorial Secondary College front gates to Memorial Building, followed by laying of wreaths.

9am - Service in the Dimboola Memorial Secondary College Assembly Hall, followed by morning tea at the Dimboola RSL Hall in Lloyd Street.

Jeparit

6am - Dawn Service in at the War Memorial in Broadway, including flag raising and wreath laying.

11am - service at the Jeparit Memorial Hall. Guest Speaker is Andrew Almond from Horsham. March to the War Memorials in Broadway for wreath laying ceremony. There will not be a BBQ this year.

Rainbow

9.45am - Meet at cenotaph for a 10am start, service to follow at the MECCA Rainbow Hall in Federal Street, followed by morning tea.

Nhill

6.30am - Dawn Service at the War Memorial statue in Goldsworthy Park. Barbecue breakfast to follow, hosted by the Rotary Club of Nhill, gold coin donation with proceeds going to PTSD research.

10.15am - RSL veterans, clubs and organisations meet at the Nhill Information Centre.

10.30am - march commences, followed by wreath laying ceremony. Organised and hosted by the Nhill RSL Sub Branch.
