Hindmarsh Shire Council will bring a range of activities to each of the majors throughout the municipality over the upcoming school holidays.

The free activities will include STEM activities and experiments, arts and craft, Pilates, first aid training, and movie nights.

Hindmarsh Shire Council Mayor Ron Ismay said that Council have been working on planning the activities, despite recent uncertainties around restrictions.

“Council officers have been planning school holiday activities for a number of weeks, even with COVID-19 restrictions, and our vendors and providers have done an amazing job through the lockdown to continue planning through unknown times,” Cr Ismay said.

“At the end of the day, we just want to be able to provide fun activities that engage and excite the young members of our community.”

More Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics – STEM – activities will feature on the program, based on feedback from last holidays, Hindmarsh CEO Greg Wood said.

“Due to the popularity of our STEM events last school holidays, we are building on those by including more Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics activities into our library programming.”
