Keep Victoria Beautiful announced earlier this week that The Sustainable Communities - Tidy Towns Awards that were to be announced this weekend have been postponed to a date to be fixed in early November.

Dimboola is a finalist in six categories this year and Horsham in eleven, and they are both in line for the title of Victoria’s Tidiest Town.

Below is the statement released by Keep Victoria Beautiful on Wednesday.
The Sustainable Communities - Tidy Towns Awards are going virtual in early November 2021.

Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions affecting much of the country, Keep Victoria Beautiful had to make the difficult decision to move the online Awards event to early November 2021. This will enable us and this year’s host, Hastings, to deliver the best virtual event that we can.

We would like to express our gratitude and thanks to all the towns, community groups, individuals and Councils who entered this year’s Awards. Your patience is noted and greatly appreciated.

We also thank our partners and supporters for the ongoing assistance as we endeavour to bring you another successful event that celebrates the incredible achievements of our entrants, especially under these difficult and trying circumstances.

As guests, you can look forward to virtually exploring all of the amazing things that made Hastings the 2020 Sustainable Communities - Tidy Town of the Year and see all the other Beautiful projects underway around Victoria.

While we are extremely disappointed not to be able to deliver this in-person event, we consider the ongoing health and safety of attendees and the broader community to be of utmost importance.

Further details of the online event will be announced soon.
