Five CFA units responded to a small fire south of Antwerp yesterday evening.

The alert was raised at around 10.15 pm of a fire on the roadside near the intersection of the Dimboola-Rainbow and Ebenezer Mission Roads.

Crews in Dimboola’s two tankers and Forward Command Vehicle responded along with tankers from the Antwerp and Tarranyurk brigades.

The fire, which took around 15 minutes to control, was declared safe by 10.38 pm after burning an area about twenty meters long between the road and the fence.
