New signs made from recycled timber are the latest addition to the Dimboola streetscape.

The directional bollards are made from reclaimed timber from the former Wimmera Street Bridge and are in line with the ‘rustic’ timber and steel theme already at play in other street features, including the pergola at the corner of Lloyd and Lochiel Streets and the features at Tower Park on the site of the former Dimboola Hotel.

Ten signs will be installed, a Hindmarsh Shire Council spokesperson said.

Residents who frequent Lloyd Street may have already seen the new signs near the Post Office, Library, and Tower Park.

Works on Tower Park are progressing, too, with the third and final pergola structure going up at the back of the site last week.

Dimboola Art Inc. said the areas under each of the pergolas are expected to be paved soon.
