The Australian Electoral Commission is reminding Australians that the deadline to make sure that you’re on the electoral roll – and that your details are correct – is 8 pm tonight.

The reminder is also going out to anyone who turns 18 before the election on Saturday 21st May that they need to ensure that they have enrolled.

People who are currently on the roll but have moved house in the past three years also need to take action to update their details by tonight’s deadline.

All Australian citizens aged 18 and older are required by law to enrol and vote in the election, and if not on the roll, they need to complete an enrolment form and get it to the AEC before the deadline of 8 pm.

This can be done by completing the online enrolment form at the AEC’s website.
