Local community groups will again host Australia Day events in the Hindmarsh Shire’s four main towns this year.

Events in Nhill, Dimboola, Jeparit, and Rainbow on 26 January, will include a flag-raising ceremony and addresses from local guest speakers and Mayor Cr Brett Ireland. Hindmarsh Shire Australia Day Awards will also be presented on the day.

At Antwerp there will be a barbeque lunch and family fun afternoon.

RAINBOW - 7:30 AM - RAINBOW OASIS
Breakfast BBQ from 7:30 am, followed by a meet and greet from 8:00 am and ceremony proceedings commencing at 8:20 am. Hosted by the Lions Club of Rainbow.

JEPARIT - 9:00AM - MENZIES SQUARE
Breakfast BBQ from 9:00 am, followed by a meet and greet from 9:30 am and ceremony proceedings commencing at 9:50 am. Hosted by Jeparit Town Committee.

DIMBOOLA - 10:30 AM - DIMBOOLA LIBRARY GARDENS
Morning Tea from 10:30 am, followed by a meet and greet from 11:00 am and ceremony proceedings commencing at 11:10 am. Hosted by Dimboola CWA.

NHILL - 12:00 PM - GOLDSWORTHY PARK
BBQ lunch from 12:00 pm, followed by a meet and greet from 12:30 pm and ceremony proceedings commencing at 12:50 pm. Hosted by the Lions Club of Nhill.

ANTWERP - 12:00 PM - ANTWERP HALL
BBQ lunch and Family Fun Day (RSVP required by 24/1 - Family $25, Single $10)
