The Horsham Sports and Community Club has officially surpassed $4 million in cash sponsorships to local organisations, marking a major milestone in its long-standing commitment to the community.
The achievement was announced at the club’s annual sponsorship presentation on Sunday, June 28, attended by about 120 representatives from across the region.
A total of $150,000 was distributed on the day to 89 sporting clubs and community groups, taking the club’s overall contribution to more than 700 organisations and individuals throughout Horsham and the Wimmera.Hindmarsh organizations to benefit this year included -

HSCC manager Daniel Hounsell said reaching the $4 million mark was a significant achievement for the club and its members.“We are incredibly proud to support so many groups through this year’s sponsorship program,” he said. “The contribution you all make does not go unnoticed, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to play a small part in helping your clubs and organisations continue their work.”
- HSCC manager Daniel Hounsell Guest speaker and Horsham powerlifter Ben Hogan also addressed attendees. A recipient of HSCC’s Individual Sponsorship program, Hogan has achieved success at the national level, including winning his division and being named overall best male lifter at the Australian Powerlifting Championships. He spoke about the importance of hard work and community support in helping regional athletes succeed.
The impact of the club’s funding was reflected in feedback from recipients.
Wimmera District Scouting said it was “gratefully appreciative” of more than $8000 in sponsorship, describing the support as “amazing” for local scouting programs.
Meanwhile, the Kenmare Historical Society acknowledged funding that will contribute to improvements at the local school, including the installation of a new garden fence, alongside support for the Kenmare CFA.
Mr Hounsell said the club remained committed to continuing its support of the community.“We wish all recipients every success with their upcoming seasons, projects and events, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact this support will have across the region,”
