From early August, there will be changes to the traffic flow through the Western Highway-Henty Highway-Golf Course Road-Plumpton Road interchange on Horsham’s southern outskirts as the next phase of the construction of a roundabout gets underway.

Golf Course Road, Plumpton Road and the Western Highway will remain open to traffic in both directions, with temporary barriers and yellow line marking in place to delineate the site.

During this stage of works, there will be access changes on the Western Highway, Henty Highway, and Derry Parade, with these arrangements expected to be in place for approximately three weeks, but this timeframe could change subject to the progress of the works and other factors such as adverse weather.

Crews will be on site Monday to Saturday between 7 am and 6 pm, with night works required at times.

Speed limits will be reduced to 40km/h and single-lane closures will be in place near the intersection, with traffic controllers on site to help road users travel safely through the area. Crews will aim to minimise delays and access impacts as much as possible.

Access to residential properties and businesses will be maintained during the majority of the project.

Western Highway - right-turn restriction at the intersection for Melbourne-bound traffic.

From early August, there will be a right-turn restriction at the intersection for vehicles travelling southbound (Melbourne-bound) on the Western Highway. To access the Henty Highway, Golf Course Road and Plumpton Road, Western Highway southbound traffic will be detoured further south at Osborne Road.

Northbound vehicles (Horsham-bound) will be able to access Henty Highway, Golf Course Road and Plumpton Road from the Western Highway using the roundabout.

Henty Highway - outbound closures.

The Henty Highway will have occasional day closures for the outbound lane only. A detour will be signed when required.

Derry Parade - changed access to/from the Western Highway.

Access into Derry Parade from the Western Highway will be reopened. The exit from Derry Parade onto the Western Highway will remain closed for safety reasons during this stage of works. A detour will remain in place via Citrus Avenue and Williams Road.
