The Victorian Government has published the 2026-27 schedule for its Detox Your Home program, offering Victorians more opportunities to safely dispose of household chemicals and other hazardous waste at no cost.

Detox Your Home events allow Victorians to drop off items such as pesticides, cleaning products and other household chemicals that cannot be disposed of through kerbside collection.

The program helps keep dangerous materials out of landfill and waterways, reducing the risk to community health and the environment while making it easier for households to do the right thing.
2027 Detox your home in the Wimmera
  • Horsham - Saturday, June 19, 2027 - 8 am to 10 am - Horsham Transfer Station
  • Ararat - Saturday, June 19, 2027 - 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm - Ararat Transfer Station
The program has seen the safe removal of 7,000 tonnes of toxic chemicals – equivalent to the weight of 40 trams, helping to keep Victorian homes, neighbourhoods and the environment safer.

Events will be held across metropolitan and regional Victoria, and residents are encouraged to check dates and details for their nearest drop-off point.
