The region has received good rainfall over the last day and a half, which will be a welcome finish for some crops but not for those who have cut hay and some event organisers.
Most gauges in the Wimmera have reported well over 25 millimetres, or an inch in the old measurements, across yesterday and today, with locations to the east reporting

Unfortunately, the damp conditions have led to several events scheduled for this weekend being cancelled or postponed.
These include Rainbow’s Weekend in the Dirt which has been postponed to a date to be fixed; the opening round of the Horsham Cricket Association season has been abandoned, as has the practice day scheduled at the Blue Ribbon Raceway tomorrow (Saturday).
Let us know if you have an event cancelled or postponed, and we will add it to the list.
